APhA’s room block
To assist attendees with hotel costs, APhA has negotiated a room rate and secured a room block at the Washington Plaza Hotel (10 Thomas Circle NW, Washington DC 20005). This rate includes room and sales tax.
Registration rates for the meeting change based on whether an attendee is staying at the SLI meeting hotel or not. Please refer to the Registration tab for official registration rates and cost differences.
Attendees are responsible for their own housing coordination during SLI. For SLI attendees who are their sole representative and would like to room with a student pharmacist from another school and split the cost of the hotel, they can connect with other SLI attendees to find a roommate on the SLI2026 Roommate Hub GroupMe linked here.
Hotel reservations are available for a 3-night stay (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night) or a 2-night stay (Friday and Saturday night).
Please note that only those individuals who request a room will be allowed to stay at the hotel. Attendees will not be allowed to stay in someone else’s room if they do not select a hotel option.
The hotel determines check-in and check-out policies. Please contact the front desk with special requests.

- Single room rate (superior queen) - $201.75* per night (max of two people to a room)

- 3 nights – Arrive Thursday, July 16 and depart on Sunday, July 19 – $640.04

- 3 nights – Arrive Thursday, July 16 and depart on Sunday, July 19 – $605.27
Parking at the Washington Plaza Hotel
The Washington Plaza Hotel offers self-parking in the underground garage. The cost is $43 per night for self-parking. For oversized vehicles, the hotel also has an outdoor lot. Pricing for oversized vehicles varies. Parking tax in DC is 18% and is not included in the pricing listed above.

All Summer Leadership Institute attendees are responsible for their transportation costs and should make travel arrangements for the following times:
- Plan to arrive in Washington, DC on Thursday evening or Friday morning in time to participate in the Capitol Hill visits. Visits will happen between 8:30 am and 11:30 am.
- Plan to depart the Washington Plaza Hotel after 2:00 pm on Sunday.
When determining travel time between the hotel and Washington area airports, use the following guidelines:
- Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) - 20 minutes: Best option if airfare is competitive
- Dulles International Airport (IAD) - 1 hour
- Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) - 1 hour
Be prepared to pay for ground transportation to the Washington Plaza Hotel:
- Metrorail to hotel from DCA: Approx. $5
- Metrorail to hotel from IAD: Approx. $7 (1-hour trip)
- Uber to hotel from DCA: Approx. $20
- Taxi to hotel from IAD or BWI: Approx. $75
- Amtrak from BWI to Union Station in DC: Approx. $15 (1-hour trip)
